I observed approx. 3" of loose crushed rock over the surface of the brown silt subgrade. Using al/2" diameter steel foundation probe, I evaluated the relative consistency of the subgrade. Probe resistance indicated generally stiff subgrade conditions. We recommend compacting the rock to help protect the subgrade from wet weather. Based on our observations, it is our opinion the lot subgrade observed today, as indicated on the attached site plan, is being prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
