There is no guarantee, implied or otherwise, that all asbestos containing materials have been
identified. It should be noted that the inspector made all reasonable attempts to find and sample
any suspect material in the space requested by the Client, according to NESHAP guidelines. If
suspect materials are encountered during renovation or demolition that have not been addressed
in this report, work should cease in that area and the suspect material should be presumed ACM
until it is compliantly sampled and analyzed to confirm the presence or absence of asbestos.
SUMMARY OF RESULTS
The analyses of samples collected at the Site indicated asbestos was not present at levels greater
than the regulatory limit of one percent.

Friable: A material meeting the following characteristics, as described in the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency's (USEPA) National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutant
(NESHAP) for Asbestos 40 Code of Federal Regulation Section 61 Subpart M, 61.141:
"that, when dry, can be crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand pressure".
Non-Friable: A material meeting the following characteristics as described in the USEPA NESHAP:
"that, when dry, cannot be crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand
pressure."
Possibly A material currently in a non-friable state, but that could become friable under

KERAMIDA'S ASBESTOS INSPECTIONS AND REPORT GUIDELINES
1. Mark on Mall Site Diagram (Building Diagram) the spaces to be inspected.
2. "Meeting Upon Arrival" - Contact Mall Manager (Client) upon arrival to confirm
specifics of inspection. Assure spaces are marked correctly and available. Assure all
areas to be inspected in each space are confirmed with Client and are shown on Figure of
Inspected Space.
3. Draw a Figure : Inspected Space# . Place approximate dimensions of space
on Figure. Mark on Figure all sampling locations.
4. Write next to each sample number what the material is (ex. white floor tile with spots) to
correspond to description in Table.
5. Mark on Figure ALL structures that will NOT be renovated or removed, if any, based on
KI/Sub inquiry to Client and Client's response in "meeting upon arrival" (i.e.,
structures/areas we don't need to sample, if any).
6. Take pictures of all sampling locations to be part of report and identify on each the
sample numbers.
7. Mark on Figure the samples which came back positive for asbestos (as per the state
requirements for what constitutes ACM).
8. For any significant area we don't sample, indicate on Figure the materials present and
why we did not sample.
9. Specify State requirement (or City requirement) for removal and disposal of Non-Friable
ACM and mark on Figure any areas that may qualify for Non-Friable ACM Removal and
Disposal.
10. Inspections are to be conducted according to "NESHAP Inspection for Renovation or for
Demolition". All sampling to be destructive, and for all layers, unless Client requests
otherwise during the"meeting upon arrival" stated in Point 2 above.
11. Provide area/amount of ACM which will need to be removed for each ACM identified, in
the tables.
