05/14/1974 - Minutes LIBRARY BOARD MEETING OF MAY 14,1974
The meeting was opened by the President, Jeri Cundiff, at her
home in the evening. Present were Ken Carlisle, Yvonne Burgess,
and Anne Hicks.
Minutes were read and approved as read.
Under Old Business, Anne discussed the meetings that took place in
April. The Tigard Public Library represents the 'small library'
on the Board of the 'Washington County Library Network. The OLA
convention was interesting and a few new ideas were picked up con-
cerning the children's room and activities.
Under New Business, The Board was informed that the children's
room is almost ready for occupancy. The owner is also putting
down indoor-outdoor carpet in that room. The furnishings and
books have been ordered. We are still waiting for HEW approval.
Anne explained how the story hour will probably be run during
the years using four volunteers one day a month, each month of
the year.
