Good afternoon,Tigard! Yes,it is December.Yes,time is flying by fast.Yes,this is going
to be an incredible issue of Cityscape.We've decorated the issue with an exclusive look
at the life of a retired police K-9,photo traffic enforcement,and a beautiful Mitten Tree.
Farewell Until We Meet Again....
He has been the face of Tigard for the last six years. During that time,he has humanized
the role of mayor through monthly Fireside Chats,attending seemingly every Tigard
event,and an active Twitter presence. In his final column, Mayor Cook gives thanks to
the Tigard community.
I Can Apply To Be on the City Council?!?!
Mayor-elect Jason Snider is vacating his unexpired two-year Council term.The City
Council will fill the vacancy through an appointment process.We've outlined the
process,requirements,and timeline. Remember,there's no harm in applying.
That's My Dog! The Retired Life of Police K-9 Baxter
Baxter,Tigard Police's retired K-9,tracked down more than 100 suspects in his career.
We track down Baxter to see how retirement is treating him. Is he spending more time
chasing squirrels?Is he eating dinner earlier?Is he watching more police shows on TV?
