The following items have been revised: 1. The vertical MSTC40 straps are not required as part of the shear wall if the wall is balloon framed . and a horizontal LSTA30 strap connects wall blocking to the bottom plate of the existing wall. 2. In lieu of 2x6 12"o.c.at the balloon framing a 2x6 with 2x4 16"o.c. may be installed. The 2x4 is to be nailed to the 2x6 with I6d 12"o.c. Thank you for this opportunity to be of service.
