Dear Gary Hines,
Thank you for the photos.
The sheathing nailing measures out at 4-5 inches on the edge and 6 in the
field. (170735)The plan states both the Wsp's and Abw's should be 8d @ 6
o/c edges and 8d @ 12 o/c field.This exceeds the nailing schedule on the
plans.
I see the mst strap over the sheathing in the corner. Looking at the window
location and where the strap is, measuring by using the siding as a guide,
that it appears to be in the correct location. (144803)
I can see the adjacent mst strap over the sheathing on the other side of the
shear wall.
This looks to be in the correct location. (145701) It looks as though the
MST37's were correctly nailed.
I see the beam at the stair with the hole for wiring. (144931)Two ST18
straps or similar would be a good idea. One over the top and one on the
stair side just above the hole.
I can see the holdowns in place in the first floor front wall.
(hineconstruction.jpg)The framing and construction looks good. The interior
braced walls are in place. I see the blocking waiting to be installed and
the double top plates look correct. The work in all these photos seem to
comply with the plans. It would make sense that the undocumented areas
likely comply also.
Thank You, Jon
