Dear Gregory:
As requested,Barry Levin and Associates,Inc.(BLA)conducted a visual assessment of the structural framing of the north face
of Building A at the above referenced location. Listed results were compiled by visual observation only. No chemical,
mechanical,or electrical test equipment was utilized.
Photographs taken during the visit have been provided and numbered. These pictures are referenced within the body of this
letter(see Exhibit`A'). A full set of these photographs(in digital format)will be made available on request.
The following describes the condition of the structure at the time of this visit,with our most recent findings in italics.Items
observed have been denoted or indicated on the restoration drawings and recommended repair details(RI.0).
BUILDING DESCRIPTION
The buildings are two story wood construction,with joists spanning between demising walls.The roof is framed by gang plate
connected trusses,with asphalt shingles on wood sheathing. The walkway is framed by combination of exterior columns,and
cantilevered beams from above the demising walls.The walkway is poured concreted slab on plywood sheathing.

1. Heavy rot and critical section loss to the structural beams supporting the 2nd floor walkway along Column Line B.

2. Moisture damage to the walkway joist framing and plywood subfloor between Column Line A&B

1. Heavy rot to the architectural framing supporting the stucco fascia.
• Structural framing appears to show no section loss, though BLA recommends the replacement of damaged
with Sto Stucco lhr fire rated EFTS. See attached repair drawings. (Photo 9-10)
RECOMMENDATIONS
BLA recommends the replacement of structural sections the show heavy rot and structural section loss.As recommended,
Extended Stay has determined an action plan with an industrial hygienist to review areas of moisture damage.
