I thought it would make things as clear as possible if I forwarded to you this exchange I just had with our Engineering Technician. As I understand it, using the soakage trench design is fine for now but it needs to be enlarged to meet CleanWater Services specifications. The LIDA connections will have to be made as part of the subdivision. Please have the soakage trench design revised to meet the CWS specs and let me know when you submit it. Meanwhile I will classify this application as"Revision Needed" until it is complete. Thank you for your cooperation. Please let me know if you still have questions. Additionally, since you are discharging onto private property Mark, the Building Official and the head of the Building Department, has jurisdiction over this matter. Khoi has jurisdiction over public infrastructure and public right- of-way. This is not preventing you from discharging with the "soakage trench",we are only informing you that when you come in for Land-Use for the Subdivision all lots within the development will be required to hook up to the public Stormwater system. Let me know if you have further questions. It seems that the hookup described below is not what she was told during a pre-app. Thanks,Albert. During our pre-application, Khoi said we did not need storm hookup because of Fanno Creek nearby so the proposed swale for dissipation looked good. May I know who Mark is and why his opinion is different than Khoi's? Do I need to clarify with Khoi? Thanks, 2 Diane. The east side will be operable, while the west side needs to be capped until they can connect to public storm. This parcel tag affects only this lot, which is not tied to the 6 lots in the subdivision that should be prevented from getting a C of 0 until the lot for MST2017-00253 has connected to public storm. When the MSTs are created for the 6 lots, a note in the case description should say "HOLD C of 0 for completion of MST2017-00253 to connect to public storm". The challenge is for someone to remember to do this on all of the MSTs that are created when they come in because the parcel tag on MST2017-00253 will not display as a warning when creating the new MSTs. I would suggest that this be done by engineering when reviewing the intake routing form for the MSTs in this subdivision. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions. Dianna L.
