We have not recieved plans for the building automatic sprinkler, plumbing
or mechanical systems. The changes in these systems indicated on the job
plans appear to be minor in nature, 80 we will probably need no further

Scope of Work
(7/2/89)
1. Install 310" x 710" hollow metal door in concrete wall for
rear exit. Have doer onsite ready to install before cutting
out opening in concrete wail.
2 . Demolition of demising wall which goes to roof. structure.
3 . Demolition of ceiling grid for wall removal, regrid and
pa'ch void created by wall removal. Demolition of existing
carpet in vacant space.
4 . Install new 10 ' high wall (18/linear feet) at puppy room and
storage roam, relocate door in storage room, install new
310" x 618" hollow core wood door at puppy room, install
510" x 410" glass relite at puppy room. Relite height off
floor to match existing birdroom relites.
5. Exhaust fans in existing lunchroom, one in puppy room and at
six (6) puppy kenne7.s.
6. Demolition of electrical in demising wall, were exhaust
fans.
7 . Installation of npw aheetvinyl at removed carpet area and at
removed demining wall .
8 . Paint vacant space and new wall ;, be built at existing
storage room to match existing Animal House paint. Leave
toiletroom and lunchroom as is, no new paint.
9 . Add one (1) fire sprinkler head at: new wall into puppy room.
10. Remove shampoo bowls and cap plumbing at wall . Install
double check valve 'pack flow prever.t.er for water system at
new and existing hnimal House.
11. Superintendent to coordinate demising wall removal with
Scott Miller at Animal House. Sco`.t prefers Monday through
Wednesday removal to minimize disruption to his business.
Also, would want other work items completed before removing
wall . All cabiiets and counters to remain.

A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on th,: above-
captioned project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the
Uniform Building Code (UBC), Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) , and
Uniform Fire Code (UFC) as amended by Tualatin Rural Fire Protec-
tion District's Ordinance 86-5.
Plans are approved conditional to the following items:
1. Exterior Exit Doer: HardwAre for the exterior doers irnd key-
operated deadlocks may be permitted where there is a sign
posted on or over the door reading;, "THIS DOOR MUST REMAIN
UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" :.n letters not less than
one inch in height on P. contrastirg background.

2. Firestopping: In all wood-framed walls and partitions, fire-
stopping consisting of 2-inch nominn.ily-sized lumber or
other approved materials must be installed at all flour. and
ceiling levels. Penetrations In this prescribed firestopping
to accommodate wiring, plumbing and other similar utility
runs must he packed with noncombustible materials in an
approved m.aneer so as to prevent the passage of. flame.

3. Insulation Flame Spread: The insulation, including breather
papers and vapor barriers which are not in contact with the
upper surfne_e of the ceiling and under surface of the floor,
as the case may be, must have A flame spread rating of not
to exceed 25 and a smoke development clMssification of not
greater than 450 as measured on the Steiner Tunnel Test
scale referred to as UBC Standard No. 42-1. UBC Sec. -1713)

A fire and life satety plan review was conducted on the above-
captioned project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the
Uniform Building Code (UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code tJMC) , and
Uniform Fire Code (UFC) as amended by Tualatin Rural eire Protec-
tion District's Ordinance 86-5.
