A fire and life safety plan review was cnnducted on the above captioned
project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code
(UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) , as
amended by Washington County Fire District No. 1's Ordinance 86-1.
Plans are conditionally approved subject to the following items:
1. Rear Exit: Minimum wall to wall dimension of this exit shall not be
less than 3-feet 0-inches from room #306 to dour 010. No storage
shall be allowed in this area.
2. One-Hour Corridor Construction: One-hour corridor construction for
the future tenant corridor adjacent room. 0301 and 40312 and relocation
of corridor adjacent to the restrooms is required.
3. Automatic Sprinkler Plans: Plans referred to and examined by this
office contain no provisions for the alteration or installation of
automatic sprinkler system. Not less than three sets of plans rot: the
installation shall be submitted to this office for approval prior to
installation. (UBC 302(b))
4. Fire Extinguisher Requirements: Not less than one (1) approved fire
extinguisher(s) with rating of not less than 2AlOB:C shall be provided
for each 1,500 square feet of floor area or fraction thereof. The
travel distance to an extinguisher from any portion of the building
shall not exceed 75 feet' . (UFC 'standard 10-1)
5. Approved Plaits on Job Site: One set of approved plans bearing the
stamps of the Tigard Building Department and this office must be
maintained on the project site throughout all phases of construction
and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for
reference during required construction inspections, (UBC Sec. 303)

A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above captioned

Plans are conditionally approved subject to he following +terns:
1. Exits: As of this expansion, this tenant specifically requires 2-
exits. Uniform Building Code Table 33A. Exits shall be separated by
half the diagonal distance of the area served, UBC Sec. 3303
2. Detection System: As it is impossible with the floor configuration
that is proposed to have the separation that is required by the
Building Code, this department will accept a full ionization detection
system throughout the space, installed in accordance with NFPA 72 A&E.
Said detection system shall be individual from the building detection
system and only early warning for this particular tenant space.
Unless; doors are propped open, there should be no need to inner-tie
this system to the building system.
3. Ap roved Plans_ on Job Site: One set of approved plans bearing the
