Re: Hem-fir Framing Revisions
Froelich Engineers (FE) has made revisions to the River Terrace East Condominiums at the request of
Polygon Homes. FE is providing revised plans and calculations for the city to review. Summary of
changes which affect all building types are below:
1. Changing Doug-Fir lumber to Hem-Fir for all 2x joists, columns, 2x studs and plates.
2. Doug-Fir#1 beams revised to be Doug-Fir#2.
3. 7/8"floor sheathing revised to be 3/4".
4. 5/8"roof sheathing revised to be 7/16".
5. 15/32"wall sheathing revised to be 7/16".
6. Weyerhaeuser TJI joists revised to be Roseburg RFPI-400 joists.
7. Glulam drag beams revised to be LVL material, drag nailing revised accordingly.
Other changes made to the plans result due to the changes listed above (shear walls, holdowns, etc.).
