GDI Prlject. Polygon-129-03 Prepared By: j Kyle Hanson

Project Name: River Terrace East Date: May 8, 2018
Location: SW Scholls Ferry&Roy Rogers, Bvrtn. Report#: 223
Arrival: 1030 Departure: 1100
Weather: Sunny, 60's Permit#: TBD
Site Visit Requested : Ken (Polygon) - Met With (on site): : None present
Purpose: Observe Building Subgrade(Lots 161-165)
Outstanding Issues: Proof roll road and curb base rock and repair as needed before paving
FR-58 (12/06) Decommission temporary storm and sewer lines through Tract E
FR-177 soft fill from slope cut in lots 153, 154 and 155
Upon arrival, I observed subgrade for lots 161-165 where indicated on the attached site plan. No crew were present
and I was unable to reach Ken with Polygon via phone call. I used a1/2"diameter steel foundation probe to evaluate
the subgrade's consistency, which appeared to consist of brown sandy silt overlain by approximately 2"of crushed
rock. Probe penetrations (through the crushed rock granular base) indicated generally medium-stiff to stiff
subgrade conditions today. However, roots and other organic wooden debris fist-sized or larger were observed
protruding from the subgrade surface where indicated on the attached site plan (S end of lot 165, uppermost hillside
benches/cuts). We recommend removal of this deleterious material from the subgrade prior to pour.
Based on observations and probing, it is our opinion that the subgrade for lots 161-165 observed today, where
indicated on the attached site plan, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical
recommendations contingent upon deleterious material being removed from the subgrade prior to placement of
footings.
