Transportation Financing Strategies Task Force
1. Meetings were held on(list dates during month) No meetings held in July.
2. Current activities:
• Staff and Task Force Members have been meeting with business property owners
regarding the Street Maintenance Fee being recommended by the Task Force.
• Staff has been contacting business owners by phone to inform them of the
proposed Street Maintenance Fee.
• Information on the Street Maintenance Fee has been place on the Web Page as
a hot item.
3. Status of long-term projects:
• Task Force intends on waiting until fall to have another meeting to address the
CIP Financing Strategies. The Street Maintenance Fee needs to be adopted by
City Council. Need to look at the task force and see which members would
like to stay on and what position need to be filled. Task force felt one
representative from City Council and one representative from Planning
Commission would be sufficient.
4. Number of volunteer hours contributed this month(noted number of volunteers and total
hours).
• Bev Froude—Six hours
• Paul Owen- Four hours
Total Hours—Ten

6. Any items to be scheduled for on the Council tentative agenda(list item and date):
• Scheduled for City Council workshop on July 17 with a recommendation to
come back on August 27, 2002.
7. Status of members—are there any members scheduled to have their terms expire in the
next four months? Are any members indicating that they plan to retire, move or resign
soon? Please give details.
