Project: Tigard Apartments
Rogers Engineering has completed a structural plan review of the foundation submittal for the
Tigard Apartments project on behalf of the City of Tigard. Rogers Engineering recommends
approval of the associated construction documents.
Approval for buildings A and B foundations are based on drawings by Kephart Architecture and
structural documents by Miller Consulting Engineers.
Documents reviewed include Volume 1 drawings dated 6-27-17, structural calculation Volumes
1 through 4 dated June 21,2017,and geotechnical report by GM dated April 18, 2016.
Supplemental documents include plan review response and calculations from Miller Consulting
Engineers dated August 29, 2017 and revised drawing sheet FS2-1.0 dated 08-29-17.

preliminary review of the drawings for the above noted project has been completed. Additional
information or clarification is needed for the following items in order to complete the review.
1. Calculations for shear walls WDG8 and WDG9 appear to have been omitted for Building
A. OSSC Sec. 1604.4
2. Volume 2 calculation page 128 notes two curtains of reinforcing required. Provide
clarification. OSSC Sec. 1604.9
3. Where does the geotechnical report specify friction and passive resistance to be used for
the MSE retaining wall design? OSSC Sec. 1807.2.1
4. Calculations for the 6 ft. — 14 ft. Stone Terra walls appear to show reinforcing at each
level. Provide clarification. OSSC Sec. 1604.4
