Project Name: River Terrace East
Date. 12/27/1.7
Location: SW Scholls Ferry&SW Roy Rogers, Report#: 181
Beaverton
Arrival: 1215
Departure: 1330
Weather: Cloudy, 40's
Permit#: TBD
Site Visit Requested By Tom w/Polygon
Met With (on site): Tom (via phone)
Purpose: Observe Footing Subgrade for lots 180-192
Outstanding Issues: Proof roll road and curb base rock and repair as needed before paving
FR-58(12/06) Decommission temporary storm and sewer lines through Tract E
FR-163 Deflection in roadway
FR-177 soft fill from slope cut in lots 153, 154 and 155
Upon arrival, I talked with Tom from Polygon on the phone. He indicated the location of lots 180-192 (see attached
site plan)where the subgrade evaluation was requested. Using a Y2"steel foundation probe, I evaluated the
subgrade. Resistance to probing indicated a medium stiff to stiff subgrade.
In lots 189, 190 and 191 we observed roots approximately Y2"to 2" in diameter. We recommend over excavating 1'
and backfilling with crushed rock in areas with a concentration of roots, within footing locations in lots 189, 190 and
• 191.
Based on observations and probing, the subgrade observed today appears to have been prepared in general
accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
