The designations"Building 1" or"2" are not recorded in our system as there is only a single address recorded for your
parcel.This is precisely why we require individual addresses for separate buildings.
We need either a set of plans that denotes buildings as "1" and "2", or if someone familiar with the site can
communicate to me which building is primarily used as the "8800 SW Commercial St" address currently that building
will retain the existing address and the secondary address will become the new address.

Hi Andrea,
Each address requires a separate permit and plans. The approved plans will need to be at each job site for the
inspections. Having one set of plans with two addresses and permit numbers could lead to inspection complications,
especially if the plans are not at the right location when the inspection takes place. It would be best to have separate
plans. I can separate the plans for the different condensing units. However, I do have a question regarding tab 4. Does
the Greencheck Gravity Exhaust Damper Blade apply to both units? Furthermore, after reviewing the plans, I noticed
that we only have attachment details for the 20-ton condensing unit. Since the 10-ton unit is located on a different
building, we will need attachment details for this unit as well.
If you have not had a chance to apply for a second address yet,you can download an address form from our website:
http://www.tigard-or.gov/help me to/forms.php#revize document center rz280. Once you complete the application
process, we will create a new address, and I will add it to a separate mechanical permit application (I will copy the
original application). Since we will be making separate permits for two addresses, we also need separate
valuations. The current valuation we have is for$48,000.00. Please split this valuation according to the work that is
taking place.

Hi Andrea,
I understand it may seem redundant to address both buildings from your end but each building must have a unique
street address,this is our standard addressing policy and done for several reasons.
Emergency services requires all buildings have a unique identifier in order for their vehicles to arrive quickly and to the
correct location in the case of an emergency.This is especially important for commercial/industrial sites such as your
own where there is more than one building on the same parcel.
In addition, our permitting staff needs to have a unique identifier associated with each building for issuing permits, as
well as for our inspectors to evaluate the correct site. Temporary distinctions such as 'Building A' or'Buildings 1 -3' are
easily confused and we have had multiple issues with contractors unable to keep them straight in the past. Distinct
addresses significantly improve the accuracy of communications and allow us to maintain an accurate history of permits
and documentation.
Our city systems also share data with the county and state offices, USPS, and local EMS so there isn't a way to maintain a
different set of building addresses in our data without causing issues for records, permitting, and tracking in other
agency systems.
You certainly don't have to list both addresses as mailing addresses or office addresses, but we do need to keep each
building unique in our record keeping. The simplest solution is for me to create a new secondary address for the building
which does not receive mail or have a customer entrance.This way the existing address used for your mail,ads, business
cards, etc will remain unchanged.

the same address .

We have received a mechanical permit application for the work located at 8800 SW Commercial for Mango-
Humpries. The work is taking place at both buildings and we will need to create separate address for the work
taking place at these buildings. Could you please contact the owner to ask them which building receives the
mail for the 8800 SW Commercial Street address? Once we have this information, we will be able to issue
each of these permits.
