As requested, special inspection of the installation of Terra Firma helical piers was conducted on July 17,
2017.The repair involved placement of 8 helical piers as shown on the plans from this office dated 6/7/2017.
The helical piers were installed beyond the minimum installation pressure of 700 psi(Pengo RS-7)and the
minimum depth of 8 feet.Each pier installation is acceptable regarding project requirements.

During our site visit a field change was necessary due to the foundation stem wall being discontinuous
between piers 6 and 7.This change of condition was reviewed by the EOR,contractor,and owner. It was
determined to move piers 7 and 8 three feet south to allow for piers 5 and 6 to placed 18 inches to each side of
the joint. The reduction in support to the overall length of the foundation was discussed with the owner and
was verbally approved. Due to less of the foundation being supported by piers and a reduced spacing,a
redesign for the changed condition was not necessary.
The provided special inspection has been performed to meet the requirements of current building code and
does not establish a guarantee of the contractor's work. It is the responsibility of the contractor to perform the
work in accordance with the provided structural drawings and the specifications of Foundation Supportworks.
