Hello Sohee,
I am just following up to let you know that the plumbing contractor has reached out to us to find out the status of this
project.
I understand that you were concerned about the cost for the Clean Water Services sewer connection fee of$5,500.00. I
wanted to let you know that the City of Tigard has approval from Clean Water Services to offer a sewer connection loan
through the City of Tigard as an option to pay the $5,500.00 connection fee.
If you are interested in obtaining a loan for the payment of the sewer connection fee, please contact Liz Lutz in our
Finance Department at 503-718-2487 or by email at Lizbeth@tigard-or.gov. Liz is out on vacation this week and will
return next Monday.
Please let me know which option you will select, paying the fees in full or obtaining a loan, as we cannot move forward
with the plumbing permit until the sewer connection fee is processed.

Hello Sohee,
Here is a breakdown of the sewer connection fees:
$5,500.00=Clean Water Services sewer connection fee
$35.00= Inspection fee for inspecting residential sewer connections meets code
Per an agreement with Clean Water Services,the City of Tigard is responsible for collecting the sewer connection
fees. Clean Water Services increases this fee each year on July 15Y, and instructs the city on the amount to collect.

You or your contractor must complete the attached plumbing permit application, including the plumbing contractor
license information, and submit this in person to the Permit Center, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, we are
closed on Fridays.
The sewer connection fee is$5,535.00. You canpaythis fee at the Permit Center prior p or to the submittal of the plumbing
permit application, or at the same time that the plumbing permit application is submitted, however the sewer

connection fee must be paid prior to issuance of the plumbing permit and before commencing work to connect to public
sewer.

I just spoke to my supervisor, and we'll actually need to receive your official written statement before we
can issue the sewer connection permit. This is because we'll need to first formally change your property to
Tigard's jurisdiction in our permit and mapping systems. In your written statement, please include language
that explains you are requesting the annexation be effective immediately due to your septic system failing,
and your need to hook up to City of Tigard sewer.
