The minutes were read and approved.
Mr. Alan Fdwards address ed the group regarding the property on 115th to be
developed. Meir. Edwards indicLted plans for the property development are in the
distant future.
Mr. Gary A mes requeFted to address the group Lfter cur tra"fic study plans had
been prepared.
The traffic study produced the following results:
Motions on the floor, seconded and passed by a majority vote were as follows:
1)Frontage Road between %'itkins and Gaarde Road would not become a part of
our proposed plan
2)Frcntage Road be mentioned in the text regarding large Commercial development
3)The re-alignment of Gaarde Street with McDonald St. be adopted with a traffic
Signal at the same intersection.
4)The elimination of the 1151h Vit. extention. (to !Walnut)
5)110th Street be extended to Gaa rde St.
6)107th Stre:3t be closed and not be extended to Fairhaven Street
7)F.liminate the extention of Gaarde Street
8)The width of Gaarde Street be of local Standard street width as described on
page 42 of the Tigard Community Plan book. Parking bays are also recommended.
0121st street, 115th street and WLlnut Street to be designated Collector Streets
Discussion then follwed on bike paths on Gaarde instead of an extra wide street.
There was a stgff recommendation by the City Planner, Dick Bolen, that the prel-
iminary plan should be prepared to show to the people. lays of presenting the
plan should be considered for the next meeting on April 23rd.
Mr. Ames asked the members to consider the recommendation of leaving the Ames
real estate as C3 until the new z one changes currently being considered by
City Council are acted upon, and if approved, that the zones not be changed to
the recommended C-P as per the proposed pian of the NP03• The members agreed
the proposed C3 zoning might indeed require additional considerations.
Next meeting w as scheduled to be on April 23rd.
