4. Rate increase 1 .96/can based on 35 lbs ./can

3 percent franchise fee not included
Will be at least 2 more increase in rates to close St. John' s and
operating expenses in June. Jerry asked about every other week service
— problem of administration for haulers . Haulers indicated that other
then disposal increases do not expect large increase for operating
expenses . To add franchise fee '-- would raise the increase to $2.02/can
-- rounded up to help simplify bookkeeping, it would be $2.05/oan.
Committee voted a rate of $2.05/oan (35 lbs . ) including 3 percent
franchise fee -- to take care of Metro increase in dump fees . Extended
an 200 Ib/y6 louyu^ 500 lb/yd compacted. Drop box fee -- haulers want to
separate dump fee from box rental pass trough dump fee fox box' s contents
directly to customers . Subtracted $28 -- basic dump fee from 116.80 --

88. 80 piok up and drop off. No rental but per day — day rental
after 48 hours '-- 4.70 -- rates will be: "°' wr'°1,
Pick—up and delivery 88.80.

Dump fee -- depends on customer -- what in in box .
Occasional service = 1ot time

Compactor rates — for roll—off compactors — do not have any rates .
5. Miller brought Washington County rates — if adopted will lower some rates .
Jerry proposed — have fee and dump fee and fines — most cost involved —
round trip have each time — currently charge hauling fee and dump fee —
attempting to state rates in documents .
6. Motion to adopt adjusted rates and Washington rate structure for
compacted drop boxes — mooed and seconded — passed,
7. Mike Leichner — Roundtable Pizza — park in front of and overfill — can
not push out dumpoter — have suggested more times per week, move
container, etc.
Jerry indicated haulers should have right to refuse service account if
standards not meet — ordinance does state that garbage must be accessible
— Wayne will do some research on ordinance and get some information.
8. Tualatin River — USA has $100 mill — alternative — increase in sewer foes
of $4.20 — $10.75 per month — basically double charge. Some of the other
solutions could run to $0000 mil.
Storm drains — City has hired an engineer — will come and take to the
Committee this fall.
9. Yard debris — Class 1 recyclable — but no where to put it as yet.
Washington County has a prommtiun fur attempting to develop programs to
deal with before legislation.
