Transportation Committee
Minutes - April 13, 1989
Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.
Members Present: Schweitz, Dusevoir, Holland, Newcomb, Zanzig
Others Present: Randy Wooley; Earl Schweitz; Wayne Kittleson, Kittleson &
Associates.
1 . Minutes of last meeting were moved, seconded, and approved.
2. Presentation on Downtown Tigard Traffic Circulation Study:
Randy recommended reviewing and receiving plan, then shelving to use as a
resource when amending Comprehensive Plan in the fall .
Wayne Kittleson reviewed the study report with the Committee.
Members were asked to review and get comments to Randy or Wayne within two
to three weeks.
3 . Main Street Bond Project: (Carried over from previous meeting)
Committee reviewed CCTF recommendation. Some transit funds are available
from Tri-Met for Burnham/Main. Moved, seconded, and approved to accept
Randy Wuuley` o recommendation (memo dated April 7, 1989) to use GO bond
funds to replace Fanno Creek Bridge and use any money left to do interim
improvements to Burnham/Main intersection.
4. Consideration of Capital Improvement Program:
North Dakota Street - cost estimate has been revised to $75,000. City
Engineer recommended proceeding with the revised project cost. Moved,
seconded, and approved to accept recommendation.
1989/90 Projects :
Report was not available.
5. Other Business:
- Durham bike lanes - June
Canterbury Square June
Hall/Scholls - Summer 1989
Hall/&&W moved out with 09W/217 - Greenburg project
McDonald/Hall light - State has contacted property owners .
- Pfaffle Street, Locust, 121st - being designed, meetings with property
owners are occurring.

— Committee may be asked to attend some neighborhood meetings.
— Bull Mountain area wide meeting — March 8.
— Next Committee goals:

Bull Mountain proposals — mid—Summer
I-5/217 another public meeting coming up.
