A. The meeting was called to order at 4:10 P.M.

A. Bartel, Edin, McMonagle and Mickelson were present,
Cook was absent.

A request by Long, Maxwell and Associates for a

review of a new office structure to be located at 11825
S.W. Greenburg Road~ Site comprises . 43 acres and
is located within a C-3, General Commercial Zona
(Tax Map lSl 35DC* Tax Lot 300)
A. Site Development Plan
I° The staff presented staff findings as
ufitten in the staff report of June 6, 1974
2^ [d Mahon and Ed Long of Long, Maxwell and
Associates represented the applicant.
3~ The Design Review Board discussed curbs
along the driveway between the property
line and the edge of the existing street
paving. Mickelson Pelt no curbs should exist in
this location because of current bicycle and
pedestrian use along the shoulder of Grpenburg
Rood" The applicant' s repZeeontivaa stated they
were considering maintaining the existing
path along the edge of their property for
pedestrian and bicycle use.
4" McMonagle moved approval OP the submitted site
development and landscape plana dated May 28, 1974
subject to the satisfaction of the following

B. Architectural Review
I° The Design Review Board Discussed the
following items:
» Projection of the bay window from the
building
o Location of mechanical equipment
o The stairwell areas
» Roof overhangs
» The entrances to first floor offices
»
The proposed black and white color scheme
Roof materiel
2° Bartel felt that the white, black and brick
color scheme seemed stark in nature--suggested
Other color variations.
3. Edin moved approval of the building style subject
to the following condition:
o That the applicant submit for Design Review
Board approval color and texture samples for all
exterior surfaces.
4. McMonagle seconded the motion and the motion passed
by unanimous vote of those mem.bera proaaDt°

A request by Tigard District �733 for review of a
boiler room addition to Tigard High School. Subject
site is located at 9000 S.W. Durham Road.

�m~ 3" The Design Review Board discussed outside
storage and a site obscuring fence around
the subject site.
4^ McMonagle moved to approve the submitted site
plan subject to the following conditions
o That wood slats be placed in the existing

ence so as -to obscure existing outdoor
storage on the subject site in the vicinity
of the boiler room addition. Mickelson
seconded the motion and the motion passed
by unanimous vote of those members present.
B. Design Review
l° General discussion by the Design Review Board
of the exterior finish and scale of the proposed
structure and also the doorways into the proposed
structure. Mr" UilkenaoO stated that tha. propoaed
structure, would be no higher than the existing
building and that the surface finishes would
be identical to the existing structure.
^_ 2° The Design Review Board marked upon the
submitted site plan that the exterior finishes
were to be identical With the existing building.
3. Ed ^n moved approval of the architectural plans
as bUbmittod subject to the following condition :
« That all exterior surfaces of the proposed
boiler room addition be identical to the
existing structure.
4. Mickelson seconded the motion and the motion passed
by Unanimous vote of those members present.
