Agenda Item 4.1
SDR 23-75 (Gevurtz Furniture/Michael, Mann & Lakeman)
Site Design and Architectural Review
of a proposed furniture warehouse and showroom at 1-5 and
Bonita Road
Staff Findings
1. A conditional use for this project was approved by the
Tigard Planning Commission on March 18, 1975 (CU 6-75)
subject to the following conditions :
a) All parking areas and access roads will conform
to City standards.
b) Future expansion will require a new conditional
use permit.
2. Submitted plans lack an adequate landscape and irrigation
plan -- applicant has indicated that this will be provided.
See also "addendum to Design Review submitted drawings".
"Aw 3. "Rough grass" not sufficient.
4. Parking and access appear adequate.
5. Free-standing sign on freeway appears to be excess. Staff
feels that adequate identification can be achieved with
building-mounted signs shown on elevation sheet, with a
free-standing sign provided at the entrance to indicate
