(d) Public Hearing Closed (e) After lengthy discussion, motion was made by Councilor Stimler and seconded by Councilor Cook to direct staff to prepare final order for 10-11-82 meeting to require a 32' right-of-way with 28' of pavement, sidewalk on one side and curbs on both sides with parking to be .allowed on one side of the street, street to be dedicated to the public subject to the approval of plans by the Director of Public Works, and the original Planning Commission conditions #1, 2, 3, 4, & 5, being retained as they exist. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVISION CPR 2-82 MILLIGAN NPO #3 PUBLIC HEARING `A request by Dick Milligan for a decision and adoption of findings and conclusions by the City Council for a Comprehensive Plan Revision from Multi-family to General Commercial on property located at 9960 SW Walnut Street to operate an antique store. (Wash. Co. Tax Map 2S1 12BD, Tax Lot 2200) . (a) Staff reported that applicant has withdrawn request. (b) Motion by Councilor Cook, seconded by Councilor Stimler to accept withdrawal of application. Approved by unanimous vote of Council. 16. SIGN CODE REVISION - TITLE 16 - ZOA 3-82 PUBLIC HEARING A request by the City of Tigard to revise the Sign Code, Title 16, of the Tigard Municipal Code. (a) Staff reported that item needs to be set over to 10/11/82 meeting. (b) Motion by Councilor Stimler, seconded by Councilor Brian to hear issues on 10/11/82. Approved by unanimous vote of Council. 18. 72ND AVENUE STATUS REPORT (a) Director of Public Works stated that all but 2 properties have granted rights-of-entry; the 'S' curve grade has been cut down; the Bonita 96" storm drain line is in and right-of-way/easements are being donated now. r- 19. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE ` (a) Director `of Planning and Development presented letter from Mayor Nelson, City of Beaverton, requesting all cities set up—committees to assist in the study of economic development in the County and within each City. The Director suggested that it would be prudent to take action to create a local economic committee to assist in the formulation of the City's individual economic development strategy. The Director further recommended that the Council pass the resolution presented which would designate the Mayor as a member of the Policy Committee of the regional task force on economic development; which would allow appointment to the Policy Committee by the Mayor of a business representative; which would allow the City Administrator to designate a staff member to the Support Committee; and direct the City Administrator anu Director of Planning and Development to initiate the Tigard Economic Development Steering Committee which shall develop an overall economic development strategy to be presented to the City Council for consideration in the future. (b) RESOLUTION NO. 82-111 A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE REGIONAL TASK FORCE ON ECONOMIC GROWTH. (c) Councilor Scheckla requested that a representative from 72nd Avenue LID area be considered on one of the committees. (d) Motion by Councilor Brian, seconded by Councilor Cook to approve Resolution No. 82-111. Approved by unanimous vote of Council. - 20.
