Proposal
The following proposal is for a prescriptive voluntary seismic retrofit at 14635 SW 92nd Ave. Tigard, OR
for client Emily Goward-Redden
The project falls under the prescriptive pathway set out by the City of Portland and meet the following
criteria:
- One and two family dwellings
- Buildings not over 3 stories in height. In 3 story buildings, cripple wall stud height shall be maxi-
mum 14 inches.
- Cripple walls not exceed 4 feet in height in one and two story buildings.
- Continuous concrete foundation around the entire building perimeter.
- Foundation sub grade not steeper than 3 horizontal to 1 vertical at any point
The following work shall be done:
North Wall: Bolt the sill plate using 9 UFP10s with TitanHDs.
East Wall: Bolt sill plate to foundation as above with 7 UFP10s on the main house and 4 on the
bump-out in the back yard.
South Wall: Bolt sill plate as above with 9 UFP10s.
West Wall: Bolt sill plate as above with 5+5 UFP10s.
