SUBJECT: S. W. 105th
S. W. 105th was dedicated to the public as a result of the
Conditional Use for Edward's Industries to build the Tigard
Convalescent Home. At the planning and zoning meeting, this
matter was discussed and it was their feeling that the street
should not be accepted for maintenance as it served only the
Tigard Convalescent Home at that time.
The street was built to city standards with the exception of
no street lights or sidewalks. Because of the planning and
zoning commission' s discussion, no maintenance bond was pro-
vided and the street was not accepted for maintenance by the
City of Tigard.
Mr. Edwards now desires to have the street accepted for main-
tenance in order to collect $4,000 from a mortgage company on
this project. I have informed him, as of this date, that it
will be necessary for him to send a letter requesting the
City Council to consider this matter. No mention was made of
the maintenance bond since the street has been in existance
for two years. It was pointed out to him, however, that street
lights and sidewalks might be a requirement of the City Council.
