Company No. 75, a General Partnership; John K. and Ila J. Wardin, Husband54pai5,
Wife; and G. F. and Marion E. Wardin, Husband and Wife, hereinafter callejl--the
grantors, in consideration of the vacation of 1) That part of Lincoln Street
(S.W. 67th Ave.) lying between the South right-of-way line of Eighth Street
(S.W. Hampton Street) and the North right-of-way line of Ninth Street (S.W. Irving
Street , now vacated) as dedicated in the subdivision plat of "West Portland
Heights", a plat of record in Washington County, Oregon; and 2) That part of
Washington Street (S.W. 69th Ave.) lying between the North right-of-way line of
Ninth Street and a line 20.0 feet South of and parallel to the South right-of-way
line of Eighth Street as dedicated in said plat, which is the whole consideration,
heretofore granted by Washington County, Oregon, hereinafter called the grantee,
does hereby grant, bargain, sell anc convey unto the use of the public as a public
way forever that certain real property situated in the County of Washington and
State of Oregon, described as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL I
The west 10.0 feet of Block 38 West Portland Heights, a duly
recorded plat in Washington County, Oregon.
PARCEL II
The east 10.0 feet of Block 39 of said West Portland Heights.
PARCEL III
The North 20.0 feet of Blocks 39 and 40 of said West Portland
Heights.
The intent of Parcel I and II is to provide additional right-of-way
so that Grant Street (S.W. 68th Ave.) is 80.0 foot wide.
The intent of Parcel III is to provide 20 foot of additional right-
of-way so that Eighth Street (S.W. Hampton Street) will be 100 foot
wide when the 20 foot additional is dedicated on the north side of
Eighth Street.
To Have and to Hold the same unto the public as a public way forever.
And said grantors, jointly hereby covenant to and with said grantee, that
grantors together, are lawfully seized in fee simple of the above granted premises
and in this deed dedicate the aforesaid real property free frau all encumbrances
and that grantors and each of them will warrant and forever defend the above
granted real property and every part and parcel thereof against the lawful claims
and demands of all persons whomsoever.
In construing this deed and where the context so requires, the singular includes
plural

plan and recommended acceptance by the City.

10, SELECTION OF AGENT - Comprehensive Liability Insurance
(a) City Administrator reported the firm of Leonard Adams Insurance Agency meets Council
criteria for selection of an agent and recommended that firm be selected as agent for
renewal, of the comprehensive liability ir,surance policy.
(b) Motion by Councilman Barkhurst to appoint Leonard Adams Insurance Agency as agent of
record on Comprehensive Liability. Insuranct,, Policy; seconded by Councilman Mickelson.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council pesent.
11, SELECTION STATE MANDATED LIFE INSURANCE PLAN
(a) City Administrator stated the current life insurance plan expires November first and ,

Dear Mr. Bolen:
Mr. Laverne Meacham of the County Surveyor's office contacted you by
phone on July 21, 1975 in regards to the width of right-of-way that you
wanted on S.W. 68th Avenue south of S.W. Hampton Street and S.W. Hampton
Street between S.W. 66th Avenue and S.W. 72nd Avenue. Your letter of
August 1, 1975 directed to Mr. Meacham stated:
Hampton Street
West of 68th Avenue - 100 feet
East of 68th Avenue - 60 feet
68th Avenue
South of Hampton - 81) feet
North of Hampton - 100 feet
Based on this information, this department has prepared a dedication
deed which has been signed and notarized by the affected parties which deed
provides the additional right-of-way in Blocks 38, 39 and 40, West Portland
Heights.
Since this dedication is within the City limits of Tigard, would you
please have your City Council accept this dedication and then have it recorded
with the Washington County Recorder.
The Board of County Commissioners will then be advised that the conditions
that they placed on the vacations of S.W. 67th Avenue and S.W. 69th Avenue
between Hampton Street and Irving Street have been met and that a order be
prepared vacating said streets.
