City Center ' Is It a new tax? (No) Tigard Triangle Urban Renewal Area Urban Renewal Area Two Ballot Measures Head to Voters in May Next month, Tigard residents will vote on two items on the May 16 ballot. Measure 34-275 would implement the Tigard Triangle Renewal Area and Measure 34-274 would expand the City Center Urban Renewal Area in downtown. The city has prepared ballot information sheets that are available at the Tigard Library, city offices and also online. Budget Committee Begins Review The Tigard Budget Committee will hold its first meeting on April 19, for the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Proposed Budget. The proposed budget outlines how the city invests its resources and provides a fiscal roadmap to meet the community's essential needs. Counselor Provides Assistance at Tigard Library The Tigard Public Library is partnering with the Luke-Dorf mental health agency to assist people who need help with housing, health care and other services at the library. Bach was the captain of the Walnut Street fire station for 10 years before his promotion to battalion chief, now serving the region. Read more...
