Dear Mr. Polak,
I have reviewed your letter c,f February 4, 1983 with Liz Newton of
my staff. We have determined that the proposed change to Lot 5 is
not acceptable di.e to the 2' 0" setback from the "hammerhead" caused
by the relocation of the proposed residents. Therefore, I am unable
to approve this deviation.
I would appreciate receiving a revised plan which takes this concern
into account or a resubmittal of the originally approved plan.

Dear Mr, Monahan,
Last week we submitted plans for approval to build
houses on Lots 4 , 5 & 6 in London Square No. 1 . Earlier
this week, I had a phone conversation with Don Howick,
plans examiner. He stated that the approved plat indi-
cates the house on Lot 5 has a 5' rear yard and the oak
tree is intact. The plot plan we submitted last week in-
dicates a 14 ' -411 rear yard and the oak tree is removed.
Since this is a deviation from the approved plat, I 've
been advised that the change neeus to be approved by your
department.
Upon more detailed measurement, we discovered that
the oak tree would be lost anyway if we located the house
as originally intended. Furthermore, a deeper rear yard
would be much more desirable. At this pcint, we have
loan approval to begin construction on Lots 4 & 5. There-
fore your prompt attention to this matter could be greatly
appreciated by our field crew and subcontractors.
