As a result we are listing as follows those requirements which must be observed during the course of construction and for which we found no provisions on the suhmitted drawings or for which the provisions, if shown, are not clear to us. I . The corridor which bisects the building must be "fire isolated" for the entire remainder of the interior by one-hour fire-resistive construction. This includes the foyers in the first story. That is, the foyers are an extension of the exit corridor system and all Portions of the first story which currently share a conrnon atmosphere with the foyers must be segregated to provide a continuous corridor to exterior exit doors at each end. This building, when originally constructed, was p,-ovided with one-hour fire-rated ceiling/floor and ceiling/roof assemblies. Accordingly, the corridor walls may terminate at the ceilings provided there is a tight seal at the juncture of the ceiling and the corridor wall . (ref: Sec. 3305 U.B.C. ) 2. The access openings into the exit corridor system referred to in requirement no. 1 must be protected by self-closing and latching door assemblies (i .e. (ref: Sec. 303 U.B.C. ) 5. Prior to the occupancy of this project area, a Certificate of Occupancy must be obtained from the Tigard Building Department. Regarding Division 6 of the specifications, fire stop-ping o_ p__: is required: a) At all floor and ceiling lines. b) At maximum vertical and horizontal intervals of 10 ft. , as in the case of double stud walls and partitions or where ceiling lines exceed the 10 ft. maximum. c) Along and in line with the run of the stairways in adjacent wood stud walls and partitions. Penetritions made in this prescribed fire stopping to accommodate wiring, p umbing, duct work and similar utility runs must be packed following the installation of said utility runs, in a manner whici wil festively main- tain the integrity of the fire stopping and cut off all concealed draft openings which could afford a passage for flame. (ref: Sec. 2.517 S.B.C. ) 3.
