The City of Tigard has received a complaint that an apparent violation of
Section 7.40.020, Noxioub Vegetation exists on property under your control
at 15835 SW Stratf.or6 Lcop in Tigard. Please be advised that it is
your responsibility to maintain this property to avoid any likelihood of
fire. Your c�)operati.on in taking immediate action to prevent a violation of
the municipal oda is appreciated,.
For your informat%en. she applicable code provision reads as fol.l.ows:
7.40.020 !'oxiuuc :lep,21ation. The owner, person in possession or agent of
the owner of any lot, tract, or parcel of land, improved or unimproved,
shall., during the monChs of May, June, July, August and September of each
year, cut and remove, and keep cut and removed therr_from and from the half
of the street or streets abutting the property, all weeds, thistles,
burdock, ferns and other noxious vegetation, an(' all grass more than ten
inches in height, and all dead bushes, dead tr?ec , stumps and any other
thing likely to cause fire.
Nothing herein contained shall be conf.idered to apply to bushes, trees.;
shrubbery and/or other vegetation grov.n t,r food, fuel or ornament or for
the production of food, fuel or ornemvnt, providing that the health and
safety of the public be not thereby endangered oy the maintenance of such
growth or vegetation. (Ord. 72- 21 Art 9 S2, 172).
