The occupant load for the space is over 30, which triggers the requirement that the corridors be of one-hour fire-resistive construction. You have indicated a preference for using the exception in Oregon Structural Specialty Code Section 3305(g) which allows the substitution of a smoke detection system. Please submit plans for the proposed detection system which shows detector and alarm locations. We also need plans for proposed additions or modifications to the building automatic sprinkler and me^hanical systems. These may boa provided by the sub-contractors.
