Gates: The Washington County Department of Public Health has received and reviewed the plans for the proposed remodel of the Summit Restaurant located at 12180 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road, Tigard, Oregon. The plan is approved subject to the following additions: 1) The plans show that the occupancy will be increasing. Seating for. 103 is indicated on the plans. There are three waterclosets and two lavatories shown as available to the public. This fixture number would allow a total of seating plus employees of 101 to 200. 2.) The ladies restroom is shown as being relocated off the new dining area next to the storeroom. The handwashing sink)in the restroom must be equipped with dispensed soap and dispensed towels. The G restroom door must be self-closing. 3) All surfaces must be smooth, sealed, not -absorbent and easily clean- able. This includes the flooring, walls, and ceiling of the storeroom and the relocated ladies restroom. The waitress station must be con- structed so that it is smooth, sealed, rlon-absorbent and easily clean- able. The flooring on all traffic sides of the waitress station must have an uncarpeted strip of 30 inches and be smooth, sealed, and easily cleanable. Any gaps around plumbing and electrical work must be filled tn. 4 All storage must be off the floor on shelves at least eight inches high ex- cept where storage is on a four inch high sealed base or a wheeled plat- form. The entrance/exit door (store front) must be openable from the inside at all times for immediate exit without the use of a key, special knowledge or effort; provided , however, that keyed deadlocks may be employed if they are of the "indicating" type and there is posted on or over the door a sign reading "This Door To Remain Unlocked During Business Hours" in letters not less than one inch in height on a contrasting background. (ref: Sec. 3303 S.B.C. ) 4. One set of approved plans bearing the stamps of the Tigard Building Department and this office must be maintained on the project site through- out all phases of construction and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for reference during prescribed construction inspections. (ref: Sec. 302 S.B.C. ) 5. Inspection and approval of construction by this offic , is required: a) Prior to cover of interior wood framing following the installation of utility runs and firestopping prescribed in requirement #1 . b) Upon completion of construction and prior to opening this occupancy for business.
