Re: Inspection of Residences in Genises Housing Development
Dear Malcolm:
At your request, I made a field observation of several of the existing
hooses built in the above referenced housing development. I am referencing
which house I made the field observation in by indicating the lot number
o+f. the house. The following is a summary of my observation.
C1.1 Residence at Lot 84,'' The problem is a valley formed in the roof
by placing stick framing on roof trusses below. The building
official's concern is the possibility that a highly concentrated
load has been placed on one of the roof trusses - which are
designed tc support uniform Icar1c only. I discusses: the solution
to the problem with .Jim Bolme from your office. I told him to
support the stick framed rafters off the wood trusses below.
