Parapets shall extend 30 inches above the roof.
As an alternate to the above two requirements, the City of Tigard
Building Itepartment and the fire distti.rt would accept installation
of a line of exposure sprinklers nlong the trailer house.
Sprinklers would need to be installed at 6 foot intervals; nutorrmatir
dry pendant sprinklers may be used whirl. would be piped off of wet
piping system through the side wall with exposed heads on the
outside. An indicating control valve would be required on this line
of sprinklers but an alarm bell would not necessarily be required.
Pipe siting should be installed so that the end hemi on a line
watrld dischcarre with a minimum pressure of 15 p.s. t. If this
alternative is chosen, the trailer may stay at the location shown on
the plot plan. Also, plans for automatic sprinkler protection and
hydraulic calculations will. be requir•pd to be submitted to this
office for review and approval.
3. Exterior. Exit boor: Hardware for the exterior doors and
key-operated dendloc•ks mny be permitted where there is a

Dear Mr. Campbell:
A plan review has been conducted for placing of a prefabricate; office
structure onto a foundation at the above address. The following shall apply:
1. Exit doors shall be operable from the inside without use of key or special
knowledge. The unlat*Uag of any door shall not require more than one
operation.

more than 1 Ifth beldw the threshold. The landing shall be a `minimus
44 inches long and 16 inches wide.
3. Handrails shall be provided for stairs. Handrails shall be between
30 inches to 34 inches above the nosing of the treads. Handrails shall
end at a post. Hatidrails shall have"..a configuration similar to the
attached illustrations.
4. Stairways shall have a minimum 11 inch run and a maximum 7 inch rase.
5. A minimum one 2A-10BC fire extinguisher shall be provided.

In response to your letter of February 20, 1987, I wish to clarify two points:
1. It was determined the manufacturing was a B-4 occupancy rather than an H-4
as you stated .
2. The wall between the manufacturing and the office is to be provided with
sprinkler heads on each side of the wall (within 6 inches to 1 foot) at
6 foot ^^icing (in lieu of a 1 hour occupancy separation) .

Dear Brad:
The following is a record of our walk through meeting on Friday morning,
February 6, 1987. I will briefly describe the important decisions that
were agreed to at that meeting. These are decisions that will assist
us in the further development of the Droject.
1 . It was established that the manufacturing portion of the building
would be classified as an H-4 occupancy.
2. The office portion would be classified B-2.
3. The H-4 to B-2 requires a one hour wall . However, due to the existing
construction, the sprinkler protection and the monitored smoke alarm,
the wall can be left as it is constructed.
4. The entire new construction will be sprinklered.
5. The entire B-2 area up and down will be approximately 12,000 sq. ft.
This portion of building car, be classified as type V-N.
6. With a monitored smoke detection system upstairs and down there will
be no need for 20 min. rated doors in the corridor system.
7. A door will be required between the first. and second floor.
8. A protected corridor will be built at the office exit that transitions
through the manufacturing area.
I believe these items address the. main points discussed. If you have ,
any other items that world be critical to the budget then please let us
know.
