As stated before in plan reviews done on this building, all openings made by ductwork must be fire dampered, according to UL 206. This is as requested in the original deign of the building and also as stated in a letter to you dated September 2 , 1987 . I spoke with Richatd Smith of ASI Heating on January 5, 1987 about the duct syLtem, and he stated that the work he was contracted with you to perform did not include the dampering of any ductwork except in the corridor area. The ceiling is installed correctly, and all light fixtures have been properly protected, and the grid system has been installed according to UL standards . The remaining work to bring this building to code must be done as soon as possible to comply with building code regulations for occupancy. The building has no rating unless all parts of UI, 206 Building Design has been completed. I believe this letter will clarify the remaining work which must be completed.
