Still Time to Apply for City Grants Residents and organizations have until Feb. 9, to submit applications for the city's social service and community events grants for fiscal year 2017-2018. Tigard sets aside 0.5 percent of the operating budget to support applicants in both categories. For the current year, $290,000 was awarded to 40 organizations and events in amounts ranging from $400 to $29,000. Read more... Thank You for Successful Leaf Disposal & Food Drive In an effort to keep leaves off roadways and out of storm drains, Public Works held the first Leaf Disposal and Food Drive in 2002. Because of our residents, the annual event remains a success. This year, Tigard Public Works recycled 550 yards of leaves and accepted 3,600 pounds of donated food on behalf of our local partner.
