The City of Tigard has received a complaint that Pn apparent violation of
Section 1.40.020 - Noxious Vegetation exists on property under your control
at _12230 SW .128th in Tigard. Please be adviFed that it is
your responsibility to maintain this property free of this violation. Your
cooperation in taking immediate arti.on to prevent a violation of the municip&1
code is appreciated.
For your information, the applicable core provision reads :_s follows:
7.40.020 Noxious Vegetation. The owner, person in possession or agent of
the owner of any lot_, tract, or parcel of land, improved or unimproved,
shall, during the months of May, .lune, July, August anu September of each
year, cut and remove, and keep cut and removed therefrom and from the half
of the street or streets abutting the property, all weeds, thistles,
burdock, ferns and other noxious vegetation, and all grass more than ten
Inches in height, and all dead bushes, dead trees, stumps and any other
thing likely to cause fire.
Nothing herein contained shall he considered to apply to bushes, trees,
shrubbery and/or other vegetation grown for food, fuel or ornament or fol
the production of food, fuel or ornament, providing that the health and
sgfety of the public be thereby endangered by the maintenance of such
growth or vegetation.
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Failure to comply with
the code provision -nuld result in issuance of a citation.
