REMARKS:
This is a Fire and Life Safety Plan Review of a re -model of the above building. This
review is based on the 1979 Edition of the Oregon State Structural and Fire and Life
Safety Specialty Code and Local Ordinanes.
I. Portable fire extinguishers shall be provided with a minimum Iclass and rating of
2A - IOBC for each 6,000 sq.ft. of floor area. 'travel distance from any point in the
building to such extinguisher shall not: exceed 75 ft. NFPA Std. #I0.
2. No storage of flammable liquids allowed. Use and handling of flammable liquids
shall comply with U.B.C. Std. # 9-I.
3. Exit corridors require separation from any other area by one-hour fire resistive
construction. Sec. 3304(g).
1' . Door assembles of interior openings to corridors are required. to have a fire

resistance rating of not less t� 20 mi.n�>tes and mG(t be self-closing or automatic -
closing. Relights in corridors require wired glass set in fixed (steel) framing.
See 19/9 State Structural Specialty Code, Sec. 3304 (h).
5. Attic areas reqire draft barriers as per Sec. 3205, not exceeding each 3000 sq.ft.
� (9000 sq.ft, where sprinkler protection provided) Sec. 3205.
6. Exit doors from lobbies, corridors and rooms with potentia] occupancies of 50 or
more are required to swing J.n th direct' A of exit travel. Sec. 3303.
