Our records indicate that Washington County denied the electrical final for "no
access." Cover and service inspections were approved.
I understand that we had first indicated that a low voltage inspection was
outstanding. This is not the case, as is indic;,"ad Dove. Apparently, Tigard and
Washington County miscommunicated on this item. I apologize for any
incom lenience this may have caused you.
Jay, we need you to arrange for us to do an electrical final so that we can close
the file. You may opt to have the owners call for this. We, as well as you,
continue to have a responsibility to ensure that this important inspection is made
and approved. We are in the process of preparing letters to send to property
owners who continue to have outstanding issues. Your quick response will
remove this case from that list.

Permits and inspections required by the Tigard Municipad Code are an important part of your project. Permits
help to ensure hat work is done in compliance with minimum code requirements. Inspections are intended to
protect the occupants of buildings and building owners.
On February 1, 1996, you were mailed a letter stating we had no record of any inspections in the prior 180 days on
the project aut'dorized for the above noted address. You were advised to please resp..nd in writing if additional
time was needed to complete the project.or call the 2.4-hour inspection recorder if ycu were ready to schedule an
inspection.
As or this date,we have either had no response or an incomplete response from yo r.
As:he current property owner of the above project,you are responsible for obtaining the required inspections. The
responsibility is yours even if you were not the owner at the time of the original permit.
The City would like to work with you to close out this project with steps taken to assure that at least minimum
code compliance has been achieved. This documentation will be helpful to you and future owners of the property.
As stated in the letter dated February 1, 1996, the City may pursue civil enforcement if work has proceedeJ without
inspections or if an unfinished project is outstanding. Your prompt attention to this matter will avoid such
action by the City.
To cordct this situation you have some choices which are noted below. No action on your part to resolve this issue
will lead to a NOTICE O.INFRACTION.
If you need additional time to complete your project please respond, IN WRITING, within 15 days. You
may request up to 180 days. Please provide the following information: Permit number,address of property,your
name,a day time phone number and Ow length of additional time you are requesting, including an explanation for
die extension. The City will notify you ONLY If your extension is NOT granted.
If you are ready to schedule your next inspection please call our 24-hour Inspection Recorder at 6394175
within 15 days. Be prepared to provide the following information: Permit number,address of property,your
name, your phone number, and the date you are requesting the inspection (inspection times cannot be guaranteed,
but you may request a.m.or p.m.;. ITe City will make every attempt to perform the inspection the same day if
:- requested by 7:00 am. However, we are expecting a large increase in inspection requests and cannot guarantee a
same day inspection.
