In June, I was assured by you that the house would be removed as you were negotiating at that time with the Fire District to raze the house as part of a training eacercise. To date, no action has been taken. I would like to hear from you concerning your plans to upgrade or remove this unsafe structure. It is presently unsecured and poses a problem to the area. My office has received three separate complaints this week about the structure. You must take immediate action to abate this nuisance. Please notify Dan Blanchard, Codes Enforcemeat Inspector in my office, of your plans. Failure to address this nuisance will force the City to cite you for a violation of the Tigard Municipal Code. This older property, located on Lot 127 at 16000 SW 93rd, is a concern to me for a variety of reasons. First, members of the public have complained to me that the property is unsecured and this could be an attractive property for vandals, arsonists, or transients. Secondly, its visibility to passers-by on Durham Road detracts from the appearance of the area. I am appealing to you as the owner of this property, as well as of the lots in Kneeland Estates, to take action to secure and upgrade or remove the structure. The appearance of the structure so such that it may detract from the maketability of the remaining lots in the area. If this occurs, it is certainly a detriment to your interests as well as to the City. Attached are copies of the earlier letters sent to your company by Brad Roast. I would appreciate your cooperation and any steps that you may take to eliminate this problem.
