Re: 15975 ::W 87th Ave. --Superior Prefab fireplace Model CF 3660, #28:1153
On Decmeber 20, 1987 I was contacted by Beth Bishop in regards to her metal
fireplace . I told her I would stop by to see if there was a problem with
it . The following is what I observed :
I . Glass facing had blown out in one portion of the panels
and the remainder sesmed to be discolored and brittle.
2 . The firebrick portion of the unit had completely
disintegrated .in the rear. piece. The side pieces showed
signs of damage that would result in an unsafe cond:.tion
in the future.
I told the Bistiops they shc,uld contact the manufacturer' s representative
regarding this mattes and also to discontinue use of the fireplace unit .
Our records indicate that this unit is ' -ss than two years old
