Milwaukie, OR 7-67 Re: 15390 SW 79th Ave Pear Mr. Chapman, This letter is -n response to your request for a clarification of the need to make a tap of the public sanitary sewer line, rather than use the service le.ceral prov?ded when connecting your above referenced property to the sewer. The public main at the point of the service lateral was approximately 10 feet deep, the topography of the land was in a downward slope towards the house. Since the outlet of the building drain was 10 -11 feet below the ground level. , it placed the service late, al and public main above the house drain. This did not allow gravity flow. By making a tap of the public main further to the south of the service lateral , it placed the connecti3n point below the building drain approximately 1 foot, thus allowing gravity flow to the public main. The building, plumbing, mechanical, and sewer permits become null and void if no inspections have been requested and performed for a period exceeding 180 days (120 days for the sewer permit) . Since there is no evidence of inspection or work, or request for extension since September 26, 1.990, I must inform you that these permits are null and void. New permits matt- be obtained prior to recommencement of work. Additionally, the etructare is in an unsecured state, and although there is no evidence of unauthorized persons entering the structure, it Is only a mattes of time before the structure becomes an attraction for vandals. If this occurs, it will be considered a 'Dangerous Building' under Tigard Municipal Code 14.16. All points of entry to this structure must be immediately secured, and no trespassing' sign should be posted.
