Dear Mr. Cooper:
This will acknowledge receipt oc, your letter dated July 7,
1977 regarding your request to install a 1000-gallon sewage
holding tank. The holding tank will be for an office trailer
located at 13935 S.W. Pacific Highway, Tigard, Oregon.
We hay:: reviewed your proposal and ari in receipt of your
$100 permit tee.
The Department herewith approves the installation of a hold-
ing tank as authorized under Oregon Administrative Rules
(OAR) Chapter 340, Section 71-037 (3) (B) . We are therefore
issuing you an alternate sewage dispose; permit, No. 115-77,
under the following conditions:
1. The holding tank shall be a minimum of 1 ,000
gallons capacity.
2. Evidence must be provided from a licensed,
bonded sewage pumping company that the tank
will be pumped periodically, at regular in-
tervals, and the contents disposed at an ap-
proved treatment facility. We are in receipt
of L & M Sanitary Service's letter. Records
of pumping dates and amounts pumped are to be
maintained and made available to the Depart-
ment of Environmental Quality upon request.
3. Inspection of the installed system by the City
of Tigard must be accomplished prior to put-
ting the holding tank Into use.
4. The holeing tank must be abandoned and connec-
tion made to the area-wide sewerage system as
soon as service becomes available.

Because of the impending availability of a community sewerage
system to sErve this property, an alarm system within the hold-
ing tank will not be required.

May 23, 1977, denied conditional use appeal, upholding Tie Planning
Comriissionrs action approving the conditional use subject to the
following conditions:
1. A detailed lanescape plan be submitted for design review.
2. The Southern access point be permanently clos(-d, Find the
remaining access point onto S.W. Pacific Highi,�ay he
permanently closed if an alternative means of access
(frontage road) is developed.
3. The area shown as natural ground cover be landscai')ed and
maintained within six month if no frontage road is con-
structed.
4. An on-site drainage retenticl s, stem be submitted for
Director of Public Works ap;:roal.
