A request by David C. and Joanne E. Whittington for a Home Occupation Permit
to have an office in their home to process maritime documentation papers. The
property is zoned R-4.5 and is located at 12635 SW Pathfinder Ct.- (Washington
County Tax Map 2S1 2BC Tax Lot 5800. )
DECISION: Notice is hereby given that the Planning Director of the City of
Tigard has APPROVED the above application st:bject to certain
conditions. The finding and conclusions on which the Director
based his decision are as noted below.
A. FINDINGS OF FACT
1. Background
No previous applications have been reviewed by the Panning ,
Department on this properLy.
2. Vicinity Information
The prupcety is surrounded by parcels that are zoned for single
family residential development.
3. Site Information and Proposed Description
The home on the property is approximately 1500 square feet. The
applicant is proposing to use 150 sq. ft. for an office to accomodate
the business. The applicant and his family will occupy the remainder
of the home.

B. ANALYSIS AND CONCLUSION
The oroposel appears to be in conformance with the provisions set forth in
Chapter 18. 142 of the Tigard Municipal Cod
C. DECISION
Home Occupation Permit %Op 5-84 is approved subject to the following

1. The square footage of the home used for the busine:;s shell not be

of the home.
3. There shall be no signs or advertising visible from the exterior of
the premi�;es.
4. There shall be no customers or clients coming to the residence in
conjunction with the burin?ss.
5. The Home Occupation Permit shall be renewed annually.
6 A Businesq Tax shall be obtained for tie premises.
