Dear Mr. Cortin:
The plans for this project were reviewed for conformity with applicable
codes, and are conditionally approved. Each repair must be inspected to
assure compliance with the engineered repair requirements. Should other
repairs be needed, additional plans will be required.
We note that the existing construction does not comply with current- code
E denign stresses for snow loads. We can not require that the buiiding be
upgraded, as the construction probably complied with the codes in effect
at the time the building was built. Please be advised that as the building
does not appear to be able to withstand a full 25 pound per uquare foot
snow load, roof collapse could occur under those load conditions.
Separate plans must be submitted for the demolition of any exinting units
and tho construction of a new end wall. An additional building permit will
also be required. You may obtain the building permit for the fire repair
project at your convenience. A list of required inspections is printed on
the permit, as is the telephone number to call for inspections. If you
have questions, or if we may be. of assistance, please contact us.
