am writing this letter to confirm previous conversations concerning the
improper drair:age of my neighbor's waste water.The house in question is immediately
behind me on Ducilly Court and owned by Mr. Walter Hoffman.There is a 4" PVC pipe
which drains water unto my property every time it rains. During some of the heavy
rain .his summer it did considerable damage to my vegetable garden. This happened a
number of limes One time it washed lop soil from my garden unto my nett door
neighbor's lawn The top soil was so deep his lawn :rower got stuck in it and had to he
pulled out.There is also potential damage to three la,ge evergreen trees in my rear
Yard because the silt from the washout is building up at their base and burying them
Besides the damage to my garden and landscaping, there is another thing that
tro"bles me This is the potential health hazard to my family from this drainage water
:ince I du not know where this water is coming from. I suspect it is coming from his
driveway dram Mr Hoffman has his pickup camper parked in the region of the
driveway drain and I am concerned that sewage from his pickup camper could possible
leak into my vegetable garden This is a ootential health h and
I have personally spoken to Mr Huffman three time about this water problem
The first time being as early as last May and then twice during the summer months I
showed him the damage to the garden and he said it did not come fr(,m his pipe. I have
pictures of the water pouring from the pipe and the subsequent damage during one of
the storms.The Iasi time I talked to him he admitted to the problem and said.he would
take care of it This was in early August.
The problem has not been rectified.Now that the rainy season is approaching I
am getting very concerned about more damage to ray garden and potentially the health
of my family
Lwant this problem fined as soon as possible As a minimum I want Mr Hoffman
to install several bales of hay and the rear of my property to prevent this water from
coming onto it As another alternative, he could simply cap the pipe.
I know that drainage water may not drain on another homeowner property in
the city of Tigard so whoever installed the landscaping did so illegally
I rave been patient, but no morel
