Steve: There are three possible routes for extension of sewer service
to McCall Oil's property along Tigard Street. The estimated cost of
each route is shown below:
Plan A - 1,300' - $ 12,800.00
Plan B - 11,200' - $ 11,200.00
Plan C - 16,500° - $ 13,900.00
(See Exhibit A for the location of each plan)
Plan A is the easiest route in view of the fact that no easements are
required. However, the cost per foot is slightly higher because of
the pavement replacement and special back fill.
Plan B is the cheapest router however, there might be some problem
with easement across the back of the property lines.
Plan C is the most expensive route at this time, but in the long run,
this route could be the cheapest, depending upon the development plans
for the south end of the property.
Reoommend Plan N be the route taken. As mentioned above, there might
ire a problem with easement - however, this route is the cheapest and
trill benefit more people than any other route, and if a contract is
made it would most likely give a better return. The south and of
the property can be served by Plan B to a point about 2001 north of
Katherine, The exact service area would not be known until a
detailed survey is taken.
