There is a regulation that require; a residence to connect to :.hP public sanitary sewer system when there is an accessible public system located within 304) feet of the property. I have checked the availability of a public system to this property, and presently there is no system within 300 feet it. In order for this property to connect to the public system, the sewer line must be extended approximately 400 feet, at an estimated cost of $20,000. Until a public line is located within 300 feet of the property, it is not required to extend and/or connect to the system, and should the need arise, the property will be eligible to obtain approval. to repair or replace the private sewerage disposal system. I should note that the property is presently located in un- incorporated Washington county, and it would be required to be annexed into the City before connection to the public system.
