The plans for this project were reviewed for conformity with applicable codes
and are conditionally approved. Structural supports for roof-top units shall
be as required by Oregon Mechanical. Specialty Code Sec. 504(c) and shall be
inspected prior to installation of the units. All required roofing material,
flashing and insulation shall - in place as per plans and specifications.
No listing of gas service pipe sizing was provided, and no inforn.ation was
provided as to the input rating of the units proposed for installation.
You may get the mechanical permit for this project at your convenience. Final
approval of the insteillation will not be granted until the items mentioned

This is a Fire and Life Safety Plan Review and is based
on the 1991 editions of the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) and
those sections of the Uniform Building Code (UBC) and
Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) specificall.p referencing
the fire department, and other local. ordinances and
regulations.
Plans are conditionally approved subject to Tigard

General: Work includes the design, layout, demolition, furnishing and
installation of a heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
Contractor to furnish all components and equipment, demolition, installation,
supervision, testing and adjustment. Electrical power requirements are to be
coordinated with the Electrical Contractor. Furnish all labor, equipment,
material, permits, supervision, transportation necessary to design fabricate and t
install the work described herein.

The contractor is the Engineer of Record and is totally responsible for the
design. He must coordinate his design with the architect, owner, tenant as well
as the general contractor and other SLI hcontractors.

components, detailing the location, size and routing of piping, ductwork, and
related systems plus the location and arrangement of equipment. Primary
equipment shall be indicated in equipment schedules. Drawings shall be
prepared under the supervision of and stamped by an Oregon Registered
Mechanical Engineer. In addition, the contractor shall prepare and submit any
and all energy code compliance forms required in obtaining a permit for this
project. Calculations shall be prepared under the supervision of and stamped
by an Oregon registered mechanical engineer.

showing all equipment size, location, and capacity; a clear indication ofr

15-B. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

' The contractor is responsible for obtaining special HVAC requirements of the
tenant. This includes, but is not limited to, equipment heat output, including
computer rooms; special ventilation or exhaust requirements; areas of of -hour
operation; etc. Refer to architectural drawings for equipment locations. The

verifying all loads:

printers and 50 occupants.

5. Ceiling Diffusers:
Ceiling diffusers shall be 24 inch by 24 inch perforated face with throw.: A
for a maximum velocity of 500 feet per minute. Provide a minimum of on.-
supply per room with additional as required to provide the following minimum
spacing.
a. From wall to wall diffuser: One x ceiling height.
b. Between diffuser: 1-1/2 x ceiling height and closer as necessary for total

Provide matching ceiling or sidewall return registers with a minimum of one i
per room and maximum 400 fpm throat velocity.

I. Roof Mounted Heatinp--cooling nit: Packaged roof top, weatherproof gas
fired heating and electric cooling unit; cooling section to include hermetic
compressor, capacity matched aur cooled condenser, direct expansion cooling
coil, complete refrigerant circuit, high and low pressure cut-outs and liquid
receiver. Unit to be sized for 95°F air entering L.mdenser. Heating section to
include AGA and serving utility approved gas burner with stainless steel or
glass lined heat exchanger, automatic gas valve, bonnet switch, high limit, main
